mobile app design (android) - 2017

OVERVIEW
Game Booster was a key application launched with Razer’s first flagship mobile product, the Razer Phone. I was the lead designer on this application from ideation to implementation.
THE GOAL
The goal was to create a simple to use interface that allowed users to quickly optimize their games, whether is was to save battery or boost performance. Additionally, you could customize the settings of each game’s performance via changing the FPS, Resolution, or CPU rate - allowing the user to push the hardware performance to it’s max for the ultimate gaming experience.

LIGHT THEME
This application was originally designed in a light theme due to it living in the native android settings menu, where the rest of the apps were light themed. The following year, with the launch of Razer Phone 2, Game Booster was re-launched in Razer Cortex, and re-skinned with a dark theme to match the UI of Razer Cortex.

The Game Booster application remains the highest-rated app on the Google Play Store and was well received at launch by the press, who released a few publications reviewing how to use the Game Booster app and the benefits it provided the user.
